TimeTrax kicks off with Gevini Foods

The TimeTrax implementation at Gevini Foods has begun.

The Gevini Foods and TimeTrax teams marked the start of the project with a kick-off ceremony at the Gevini Foods premises.

A kick-off is the opposite end of the journey from a go-live: it is where scope, owners and sequence get agreed, and it is a far better predictor of how the implementation will go than anything that happens later.

How a project starts predicts how it ends, more reliably than anything in between.

The questions that matter here are unglamorous. Who signs off a policy once it is written into the system? Which processes are being carried over as they are, and which were only ever done that way because the old tool could not do otherwise? What is explicitly out of scope for now? A project that cannot answer those on day one tends to answer them late, under pressure.
