TimeTrax is live at UPL.

The UPL and TimeTrax teams marked the milestone with a go-live ceremony, where a commemorative TimeTrax shield was presented to the project team.

A go-live is the point at which an implementation stops being a project and becomes the way the business runs day to day — which is why we mark it with the people who did the work rather than with a press release.

A go-live is the day a project stops being a project.

It is also the least forgiving day in the calendar. Everything that was theoretical during configuration becomes real at once: the first attendance cycle, the first leave approvals, the first payroll run against live data. Most of the effort that makes a go-live uneventful was spent in the weeks before it.

What follows is usually quieter than the ceremony suggests. The measure of a good implementation is not the launch, it is whether anyone is still talking about the system three months later — and ideally, nobody is.
